The so-called 'finest walk in the world' treat us to quite the show once we reached her saddle. Before walking this trail I'd heard many mixed reviews of it. Those who are rough and tough backpackers scoff at New Zealand's Great Walks which are considered 'mild' backpacking trips. They are geared towards anyone with a few days to spare. But despite the wide and gradual trails, this track did not disappoint!
