Stjórnarfoss, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Iceland

This beautiful waterfall was pretty much mine and mine alone for the two days I camped in this tiny town. I was told that in the summer, the sun heats the pools beneath it to a perfectly pleasant swimming temperature. You can even climb up and jump off the top of the falls! Unfortunately, when I was there, it was barely fifty degrees and the water was much colder... no swimming for me!
